Baby Shower DIY Gift

Kelsey Easterling

I’m going to be an aunt for the first time in a few weeks!

When we found out my sister was having a baby girl, I knew I had to put together something extra special for my first-ever niece! So I made this sweet baby gift using a crate, 5 dowels, and faux florals.

For a video tutorial of how this was made, click here.

To begin, you’ll need a Crate and 5 Dowels.

Using a hot glue gun, glue a dowel rod in each of the four corners (you’re going to want to angle them to make 2 “V” shapes at the top).

Next, you will need to cut the last dowel down and rest it on top of the 2 Vs at the top.

This will be where you hang the hangers. You can also secure the top dowels with wire or additional hot glue.

Then cover the dowels using faux florals of your liking with hot glue – just be sure to leave room for hangers to hang. I used florals from Hobby Lobby for this project.

Next, I put folded baby goods and placed in the crate:

Teether

Towel set

Burp cloths

Teether

Pacifier

To attach the Cuddle & Kind doll, I used clear fishing line to tie around the doll to the dowel.

Lastly, I hung up the clothes

Sleepers

Onesies

on Hangers and displayed at the top!

This gift is sure to wow at the next baby shower you attend

and the mom-to-be will love the personal touches!
